CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Our client, a successful civil and structural design consultancy are actively seeing an experienced civil/structural engineering technician to help with a busy workload on a wide range of civil, structural, infrastructure and environmental projects.

The position is a permanent role based in the Cambridge office.

You will be a civil/structural technician with a minimum of five years experience, educated in a civil engineering discipline to BTEC (Level 3 or higher). Ideally you would hold the Engineering Technician qualification through either the Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers.

In order to be considered for this Civil/Structural Technician role you will;

* Drawing production in AutoCAD including civil and structural general arrangement drawings and detail drawings.

* Reinforcement detailing and scheduling.

* Production of drainage schedules and drainage layouts.

* Earthworks modelling using specialist software such as PDS, LSS or Civils 3D.

* Checking of fabrication drawings.

* Production of schedules of quantities.

* Experience of using AutoDesk REVIT suite.

* Site inspections.

* Site surveys.

* Liaison with Clients and Contractors.
