Our client is a family run cleaning business that has been operating in Leeds for over 13 years and they specialise in end of tenancy and student cleans. Their standards and service levels are impeccable, and they do not accept less!
The company have large contracts for student cleaning (houses and apartments) and therefore have a huge increase in work during the summer, therefore, they are looking for new honest, reliable, hard-working staff to help them during these periods.
The Role
The company will provide all cleaning materials and the necessary training to meet their extremely high standards. They use their own range of Organic cleaning products which are better for the user and the environment.
The temporary work starts from around the 23rd June until the 15th September, they will then look to offer full or part time positions to any suitable candidates.
You must be able to work the dates stated in phase 1 below.
PHASE 1
Thursday 27th June - Friday 5 th July
The compulsory days within this phase are:
* Friday 28 th June
* Saturday 29 th June
* Sunday 30 th June
* Monday 1 st July
* Tuesday 2 nd July
* Wednesday 3 rd July
The 30 th June and 1 st July will be the busiest 2 days of the summer as the students move out and in on those dates. You will be expected to work long hours on these days, along with having good availability for the other days stated.
You must be available every day between 28 th June -3 rd July (You may not be required every day for long hours, but you must be available)
The company need to complete around 40% of their work in this first period.
The candidates that do the best within this first phase will be prioritised for the positions in phase 2.
PHASE 2
Friday 12 th July to Friday 13 th September
This will be a normal working period without the need to work weekends or extremely long hours.
During period 2 the company are able to accommodate normal full time/part time hours to suit applicants.
Skills & Experience
Experience of cleaning work is desirable, but the right attitude is the most important quality.
Driving License and access to a car is preferred but they also have positions for non-drivers who are of the right quality and able to use public transport and google maps.
Additional Information
* All candidates start on £12.50 and can increase their hourly rate by 25p at a time up to a maximum of £13.50 (This increase will be based on performance, reliability, attitude and commitment)
* You will be considered self-employed so the company will not take any National Insurance or Tax from your total earning. It will be up to you to declare this at the end of the year should you earn more than the tax threshold
* All of the work will be in the following postcodes - LS2 LS3, LS4, LS6, LS9
* Driving expenses will be paid for any mileage during the day within these areas
* For non-drivers you will be given fixed locations (where possible) near to the Bus Station in Leeds for the duration of your employment during the busy periods (If you are required to move during the day, the company will move you)
