Role and Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the smooth running of food service within the nursing home. Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Chef.

* Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.

* Supporting with food service during meal times.

* Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

* Following food safety regulations and procedures.

* Assisting with stock control and inventory management.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

* Basic food hygiene certificate is preferred.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

* Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
