Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper who has a strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices, familiarity with accounts payable processes and proficiency in accounting software is required for a well-established company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
SALARY: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum + Benefits (includes Bonus scheme and free parking on-site)
LOCATION: Sheffield, South Yorkshire (S25) – 100% Office based

DUTIES
Your duties as a Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper will include:
• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals
• Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to suppliers
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Credit control
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards
• Utilise accounting software – Sage 50/200 for efficient record keeping
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper / Accountant
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software Sage is essential
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy
