About Us: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Croydon

Academics are seeking a passionate and motivated individual, ideally an aspiring Educational Psychologist, to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). Academics are working with Primary Schools in Croydon who are setting up new ASD Provisions.

Key Responsibilities: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Croydon

* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or behavioural challenges

* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)

* Help students engage in classroom activities and develop positive learning habits

* Support students' emotional, social, and academic development

* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment

* Contribute to the observation and assessment of students, working with the school's SENCO to develop tailored strategies

* Promote positive behaviour management and support students in regulating emotions

* Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers to ensure continuity of support at home and in school

Requirements: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Croydon

* A degree in Psychology or a related field, or someone currently working towards becoming an Educational Psychologist

* A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and behavioural difficulties

* Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children

* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided)
