Location: Cardiff

Are you an experienced Town Planner looking to step up to an Associate or Associate Director level role? A leading consultancy is seeking a driven and knowledgeable professional to join their Cardiff-based planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious planner to take on more responsibility and play a key role in shaping major projects across the region.

The Role: As an Associate or Associate Director, you will lead on the delivery of high-profile planning projects, providing strategic advice to clients and managing the full planning process. You will also be responsible for driving business development, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members, helping to shape the future direction of the planning team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading on complex planning applications, appeals, and development proposals across various sectors.

* Providing expert strategic advice to clients, including developers, investors, and public sector bodies.

* Taking responsibility for project delivery, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on time.

* Driving business development by identifying new opportunities and building client relationships.

* Mentoring and managing junior planners, providing guidance and support to help them grow within the team.

* Representing the company in stakeholder and client meetings, as well as public inquiries.

What We're Looking For:

* A degree in Town Planning or related field.

* Chartered member of the RTPI.

* Significant experience in a planning consultancy or similar environment, including project management and client-facing roles.

* Proven ability to manage complex projects and work to tight deadlines.

* Excellent business development and client management skills.

* Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
