Autism Support Assistant - Bristol
Are you passionate about making a difference in the life of a child with Autism? A welcoming primary school in Bristol is looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.
As an Autism Support Assistant, you'll work closely with a child who has an EHCP, helping them overcome educational barriers and reach their full potential. This role is perfect for aspiring psychologists, therapists, counsellors, and SENCOs, offering hands-on experience in a supportive setting.
About the Role:
* Position: Autism Support Assistant
* Location: Bristol
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term-time only)
* Salary: £85 - £95 per day
Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism, helping them achieve their EHCP targets
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with professionals such as speech therapists, educational psychologists, and occupational therapists
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with Autism is desirable
* A patient, empathetic, and committed approach
* A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
