Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting locum opportunity in Central London? A rewarding role has become available within a dedicated Neuro Rehabilitation team, offering great pay, flexibility, and the chance to make a real impact.
* Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 6) - Neuro Rehab
* Location: Central London
* Duration: 3-month initial contract (potential to extend)
* Schedule: Full-time preferred (part-time applicants considered)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Rate of Pay: £25-£27 per hour (depending on experience)
What You'll Be Doing:
Working as part of a specialist Neuro Rehab team, the successful candidate will:
* Deliver high-quality assessments and interventions to patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and progressive neurological disorders
* Support patients in regaining functional independence through tailored rehabilitation programmes
* Conduct cognitive, functional, and ADL-based assessments in both ward and therapy environments
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, SLTs, Nurses, and Consultants
* Contribute to discharge planning and onward referral as appropriate
* Supervise junior staff and support service development initiatives where required
Requirements & Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
* Current and valid HCPC registration
* Prior experience in neuro rehab or working with patients with neurological impairments
* Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and documentation skills
* Strong team-working abilities and a patient-centered approach
* Confidence working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role is full-time , Monday to Friday, with flexibility for part-time applicants. The contract is for 3 months initially , with a strong likelihood of extension.
