My client, a reputable and successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Leicester. The company specialises in providing top-quality structural design solutions and focuses on technical excellence and innovative approaches. They work across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

This role as a Chartered Structural Engineer include:

* Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for a range of projects, with an emphasis on masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.

* Produce detailed and accurate design calculations, drawings, and reports.

* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.

* Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

* Conduct site inspections and coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly.

* Prepare technical documentation for regulatory and planning submissions.

* Keep up-to-date with relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Chartered Structural Engineer role, candidates must have a professional and commercial mindset, demonstrated by the following qualifications and experience:

* Chartered status with ICE, IStructE, or a comparable body.

* A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.

* Strong experience in structural analysis and design, with a focus on masonry, groundworks, and temporary works.

* In-depth knowledge of UK building codes, standards, and regulations.

* Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar).

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
