Are you an experienced CNC Turner or Sliding Head Operator seeking your next career move? Salary: £16phr - £18phr
Hours: 6am - 2pm or 8am - 4:30pm
Location: Northampton
Role Overview:
We are seeking skilled machinist to join our client's expanding team. The successful candidates will work with cutting-edge machinery, contributing to the production of high-volume and bespoke components for a variety of critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines, with a preference for experience on Citizen Sliding Heads, Doosan Puma, or Doosan Lynx equipment.
* Programming: Set, operate, and program CNC machines using Fanuc controls, either online or offline.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufactured components meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to optimise processes and meet production deadlines.
* Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during machining.
* Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC machining, ideally within the precision engineering or manufacturing sectors.
* Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with Citizen Sliding Heads, Doosan Puma, or Doosan Lynx machines. Experience with Fanuc controls is highly beneficial.
* Programming Knowledge: Ability to program online and/or offline is advantageous.
* Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to work with precision and maintain high-quality standards.
* Adaptability: Capable of working on both high-volume production runs and bespoke, one-off projects.
* Time-Served: Ideally, you will be a time-served engineer with a proven track record in a similar role.
* Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
