We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our secondary school in Brighton as a Cover Supervisor. This role is ideal for someone looking for hands-on experience in a supportive environment, with excellent career progression opportunities. You will lead classrooms using pre-prepared lesson plans, supervise students, and provide one-to-one support where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.

* Supervise students, ensuring that they remain on task and maintain good behavior according to the school's policy.

* Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active student participation.

* Provide basic support and clarification to students on their classwork.

* Ensure all necessary materials and resources are ready and available for the lesson.

* Help manage the smooth flow of lessons, addressing any immediate issues or questions from students.

* Work with students individually or in small groups to support their learning needs.

* Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability and monitor their progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Essential:

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
