Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our secondary school in Hassocks as a Cover Supervisor. This position is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment, with excellent career progression opportunities. You will be responsible for leading classrooms using pre-prepared lesson plans, supervising students, and providing one-to-one support when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver pre-set lesson plans provided by the subject teacher or department.

* Supervise students, ensuring they remain focused and follow the school's behavior policy.

* Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes active student participation.

* Provide basic assistance and clarification on classwork when needed.

* Ensure all necessary materials and resources are prepared and available for the lesson.

* Manage the smooth running of lessons by addressing any immediate issues or questions from students.

* Work with individual students or small groups to support their learning and development.

* Encourage students to complete their work to the best of their ability and monitor their progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Essential:

* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
