Critical Engineering Manager - Canary Wharf - £65,000

Location: Canary Wharf

Salary: £65,000

Hours – Monday to Friday Days 8AM – 5PM

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to take on a critical role in one of the UK's premier data centre environments? We are seeking a dedicated Critical Engineering Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, and development of our state-of-the-art facility in Canary Wharf.

Duties will include:

- Performing HR duties such as recruiting, selecting, scheduling, counselling, and disciplining employees. Lead, motivate and support team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment. Including career development plants for all director reports and problem resolution

- Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure the reliable operation of critical infrastructure, including HVAC, UPS systems, generators, and electrical distribution.

- Develop and implement preventive and reactive maintenance schedules to maintain high availability.

- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracts to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Requirements:

- City and Guilds Electrical Qualifications

- HV AP 

- Proven experience in a critical data centre or similar high-availability environment.

- Strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering.

- Knowledge of critical systems such as UPS, generators, and HVAC.

- Effective leadership skills with experience managing a technical team.

- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a commitment to operational excellence.
