Location : Sawtry

Salary: £34,341 = £37,938 per annum

Hours of work : 37hrs per week, 52weeks per year

The Village Academy are situated on the outskirts of the village of Weldon, approximately 2.5 miles from Corby town centre, in the new housing estate that is still under construction. The Village Academy will grow year by year, from an initial intake of 120 Year 7s in September 2023, until eventually reaching its full capacity of 1500, including a 6th form of 300 students.

The Role

They are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, independent and motivated Data & Exams Manager to work within their core trust data services team, with specific responsibilities for The Village Academy.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key part to instil the virtues and values within a school, but also to work with wider trust colleagues and meet and support the data needs of schools across the Trust. This is a new role for them, which will see the postholder dividing their time across the week, working for the Core data team 3 days, and a further 2 days focused specifically to support the Village Academy.

The Opportunity

* Opportunity to improve the use of student data, supporting staff to effectively use Bromcom for performance analysis, fostering better teaching strategies, and raising student achievement across all year groups.

* Opportunity to develop clear and accessible student progress reports for teachers, parents, and external agencies, ensuring timely and effective communication that drives student success and enhances parent engagement.

* Opportunity to streamline and develop the use of Bromcom and other data systems, increasing efficiency in data management, ensuring accuracy, and providing a user-friendly experience for staff to analyse and use data for better educational outcomes.

* Opportunity to lead the development of data literacy among staff, offering support and advice on using Bromcom and related systems. This helps schools within the trust improve their data analysis capabilities and fosters a culture of best practices.

* Opportunity to oversee the collection and analysis of key student data to aid in effective self-evaluation at the cohort, House, and Curriculum Area/Subject level, driving school improvement and supporting evidence-based decision-making for leaders and teachers.

Skills and Qualifications

* The ideal candidate will have proven experience in handling and processing data, with excellent IT skills, including experience using MIS systems such as Bromcom.

* The candidate should have experience working within an educational environment and with external agencies, which is essential for effectively supporting the school's data needs.

* The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to ensure that data is clearly understood by parents, pupils, and staff members.

* The ideal candidate should be willing to undergo further training and development to stay updated on best practices and technological advancements in data management.

* The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being able to act on their own initiative, contributing positively to team meetings and school objectives.
