Deputy Site Manager who has exceptional leadership and communication skills and a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations is required for a well-established company based in Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands.

ALL INDUSTRY BACKGROUNDS CONSIDERED

If you have previous experience working at a Recycling Centre / Refuse Centre / Waste Management Company / Scrap Metal Merchants / Composting Facilities / Materials Recovery Facility / Wast to Energy Plant / Landfill Operator or similar, then great. If not, but you have previous management / supervisory experience with a good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and enjoy working outside in a yard / work site environment, then we would like to hear from you too.

SALARY: £32,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Stafford, Staffordshire, West Midlands

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week over 7 days (candidates must be flexible due to the shifts running days, nights, and weekends)

DUTIES

Your duties as a Deputy Site Manager will include:

• Reporting to the Site Manager

• Assist with managing the Recycling Team with key focus on Health and Safety, and Quality

• Quality checking of waste materials

• Organisation of yard / work areas

• Delivery of training

• Issuing of PPE and keeping records

• Managing sickness/absence, and recruitment

• Overseeing waste collections and processing of documentation

• Communicating with the client and Head Office

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous management/supervisor experience

• Previous experience in waste management or similar sectors

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills

• Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations

• Proven problem-solving ability

• Excellent IT skills

• Ability to a motivate a team and drive continuous improvement

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Forklift experience / licence – Counterbalance (desirable)
