Design Engineer - Control Panels & Building Management Systems

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role:
As a Design Engineer with an electrical bias, you will play a pivotal role in the development of bespoke control panels and building management systems (BMS). You'll work with a dedicated team to design, develop, and implement efficient solutions that help automate and optimise building functions, such as lighting, HVAC, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop electrical schematics for control panels and BMS.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client specifications, budget, and regulatory standards.
* Specify and select appropriate electrical components for system integration.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
* Troubleshoot and refine designs based on performance feedback.
* Assist in the commissioning and testing of completed systems.
You will need…
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Experience in control panel and BMS design.
* Strong knowledge of electrical standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.).
* Experience with PLC programming and automation systems is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
