DT Technician Role Overview:
* Set up and manage materials, resources, and equipment to support teaching and enhance student learning in Design Technology.
* Ensure all necessary equipment is ready for teacher demonstrations and student projects.
* Maintain engaging classroom displays featuring current students' project work and artefacts.
* Offer technical advice and assistance to staff and students during lessons and projects.
* Oversee the storage and organization of tools, equipment, and student project files.
* Copy and distribute worksheets and materials as required for lessons.
* Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines in the workshop.
DT Technician Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar technician role, ideally within an educational setting.
* Proficient in handling and maintaining a variety of Design Technology tools, machinery, and equipment.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations concerning workshop tools and materials.
