Job Title: Exam Invigilator - Sheffield

Academics is an established educational agency, and we are currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support schools in Sheffield during the busy A-Level and GCSE exam season. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in education and training or those looking to gain experience in a school environment.
About the Role
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exams run smoothly and in accordance with JCQ regulations. This is a temporary position designed to help schools with their exam cover needs throughout the summer exam period.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing and supervising students during exams
* Ensuring JCQ regulations are adhered to
* Distributing and collecting exam papers
* Assisting students with queries in line with exam guidelines
* Reporting any irregularities to the exams officer
Requirements
To be considered for this Exam Invigilator role, you must:
* Have received training to JCQ standards and provide evidence of this
* Be flexible and reliable to meet the needs of the school
* Be able to work at various school locations in Sheffield
* Have excellent attention to detail and a professional attitude
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator would be an advantage but is not essential
* Experience of working as a scribe or reader during exams would also be beneficial
* A background in education and training would be useful, but not required
Job Details
* Location: Various schools in Sheffield
* Contract: Temporary during the summer exam period
* Pay Rate: 13.68 per hour
* Role: Supporting A-Level and GCSE exam invigilation
