Head Chef

Location : Wimborne Minster

Salary: £54,000 - £58,000 per annum

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Executive Head Chef to lead the School's dedicated team of chefs has arisen. During term time the team are responsible for preparing high quality meals for up to 1000 people, 7 days per week as well as supporting various internal and external hospitality events. In addition, the catering team support their Events department with preparing and presenting exemplary food for external functions such as weddings and Lettings that take place predominantly outside of term-time.

Reporting to the School Services Manager and working closely with the Catering Services Manager, the Executive Head Chef is responsible for ensuring that the Department excels in all aspects of service. Applicants must have proven experience in a similar role, a robust approach to managing allergens and other HSE requirements together with excellent team management skills.

Skills and Qualifications

* An NVQ / BTEC Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential and qualifications in Food Hygiene, Management of Allergens and Professional Culinary Arts would be advantageous.

* Flexibility is essential as is a strong work ethic and attention for detail.
