Facilities Maintenance Operative / Labourer who is enthusiastic and hardworking handyperson / caretaker with the ability to use initiative is required for a globally renowned brand based in Plymouth, Devon, South West England.

SALARY: £12.21 per hour + Benefits

LOCATION: Plymouth, Devon, South West England (PL7)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Some previous experience in a cleaning / facilities / maintenance / labouring / handyperson / caretaker or similar role is desired but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Operative / Labourer who is enthusiastic and hardworking handyperson with the ability to use initiative.

Working as the Facilities Maintenance Operative / Labourer you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation across all assigned areas, ensuring they remain tidy and well-kept, as directed by the line manager or lead.

As the Facilities Maintenance Operative / Labourer you will also complete any ad-hoc cleaning or maintenance tasks, disposal of waste, floor painting and other related duties.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Facilities Maintenance Operative / Labourer will include:

• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping floors, emptying litter bins, and ensuring restrooms are tidy and well-stocked

• Maintain cleanliness and organization across the workspace, moving or removing items as needed to support operational efficiency

• Safely dispose of waste in accordance with environmental guidelines and standards

• Assist with catalyst set-up and floor painting, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest quality

• Complete any ad-hoc cleaning or maintenance tasks as requested by the manage / supervisor, adhering to 6S standards for cleanliness and organization

• Support outdoor cleaning activities, including maintaining the marinas and assisting the dispatch team with their needs

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Some previous experience in a cleaning / facilities / maintenance / labouring / handyperson / caretaker or similar role is desired but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Able to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative

• Good attention to detail

• Can-do attitude
