Job Overview:

Based in Ashford, my client is a successful UK based Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Civil and Structural Engineering The Graduate Structural Engineer specializing in steel will assist in the design, analysis, and inspection of steel structures, including Telecoms, rail, utilities, highways, and radar. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in structural engineering and work on innovative projects to ensure that designs are structurally sound, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

The Role:

As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will:

* Assist in the design and analysis of steel structures using industry-leading software.

* Work on exciting projects that include commercial buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure developments.

* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and senior engineers to ensure design accuracy and project success.

* Perform structural calculations, technical drawings, and report writing to deliver quality engineering solutions.

* Participate in site visits to monitor the progress of steel construction, ensuring that designs are implemented safely and effectively.

* Support in the preparation of technical documents, material take-offs, and project specifications.

Key Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.

* Relevant coursework or projects focused on steel structures is an advantage.

* Familiarity with structural engineering software (STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.).

* Basic knowledge of steel material properties, fabrication, and construction processes.

* Internship or project experience in structural engineering, particularly with steel structures, is preferred.
