Job Overview:
A UK-based multidisciplinary engineering consultancy located in Ashford is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their team. You will contribute to the design, analysis, and inspection of steel structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, structural integrity, and cost efficiency. Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will:
* Assist in the design and analysis of steel structures using advanced industry software.
* Work on diverse projects including commercial buildings, industrial structures, and infrastructure developments.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and senior engineers to ensure accurate designs and successful project delivery.
* Conduct structural calculations, prepare technical drawings, and write reports to provide engineering solutions.
* Participate in site visits to oversee steel construction, ensuring that the designs are followed safely and effectively.
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
* Experience or coursework in steel structures is an advantage.
* Familiarity with structural engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.
* Basic understanding of steel material properties, fabrication, and construction processes.
* Previous internship or project experience in structural engineering, particularly in steel structures, is preferred.
