Salary: £39,513 - £43,693 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

Salisbury City Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Community Services to lead and innovate our community engagement initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Salisbury residents while working in a strategic and operational leadership role.
Role Specifications:
* Develop and implement the Council's Community Engagement Strategy.
* Identify and deliver community-based projects that enhance social, economic, and environmental well-being.
* Manage and maintain community hubs, ensuring their functionality and alignment with Council priorities.
* Forge and strengthen partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and private sector organizations.
* Secure funding through grant applications and oversee the effective use of budgets for community projects.
* Provide leadership to a dedicated team, inspiring excellence and collaboration.
* Act as a safeguarding lead for children and vulnerable adults.
* Represent community interests within the Council's strategic planning and decision-making processes
Person Specifications:
We are looking for a visionary leader with a proven track record in community development and partnership working. The ideal candidate will have:
* Effective partnership collaboration and stakeholder influence.
* Comprehensive management of buildings, financial, physical, and human resources.
* Inspirational team leadership.
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of community development and engagement.
* Key legislation, including Safeguarding, Equality Act 2010, Health and Safety, and community activities.
* Strategic planning and organisational capabilities.
* Networking, negotiating, and problem-solving proficiency.
* A commitment to inclusivity and respect for diverse lived experiences.
