Construction Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Consultant who has construction industry experience with membership of IOSH or IIRSM, a Health & Safety qualification and NEBOSH Construction Certificate, as well as a thorough understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation is required for a well-established Construction Consultancy that supports FTSE 100 companies with their builds.
SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum +Car Allowance + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Home based ideally South West / along the M5 corridor following an initial induction period at the Bracknell office
Travel will be required to carry out surveys, attend site visits etc. Overnight stays may also be required, where appropriate, in order to fulfil the role. Travel to the Bracknell team meetings and project co-ordination may also be required.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Construction Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Consultant who has construction industry experience with membership of IOSH or IIRSM, a Health & Safety qualification and NEBOSH Construction Certificate, as well as a thorough understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.
Working as the Construction Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Consultant you will carry out site inspections, CPP & RAMS reviews, document reviews, liaising with site managers, clients and project teams, and assisting the CDM Principal Designer Team.
As the Construction Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Consultant carrying out the duties on behalf of the company for appointed clients, to carry out SHE inspections & Compliance inspections and issue reports within 24 hours.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Construction Health and Safety Advisor / HSE Consultant will include:
• Represent the Company as a key Client contact
• Carry out SHE inspections & Compliance inspections and issue reports within 24 hours
• Carry out the duties of Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of the company for appointed clients, to plan, manage, monitor and co-ordinate Health & Safety
• Prepare, assess, assist and support the development of bespoke Client Health & Safety systems
• Be the key interface between & liaising with the Client Teams, and others to deliver services
• Provide H&S advice and support to Client Teams, advising clearly of their legal duties
• Provide H&S training, especially on client systems
• Support the Managing Director and team members, reviewing & advising on deadlines and providing advice & support
• Prepare Fee Proposals and issuing to prospective and existing Clients
• Provide weekly and monthly targets and outputs and managing invoicing, reviewing and managing project delivery and information flow to achieve deadlines and monthly targets
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience of acting as a Construction Health and Safety Advisor is essential to fulfil this position with current membership of IOSH or IIRSM, preferably with or working towards CMIOSH
• A thorough understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act and Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations
• An existing Health & Safety qualification is essential – NEBOSH Construction Certificate is also essential
• Excellent written English, report writing, attention to detail and communication skills are essential
• Previous experience of delivering training and preparing and delivering presentations is desirable but is not essential
• Previous experience of acting as CDM Advisor and Principal Designer is desirable but is not essential, A good understanding of construction processes with some experience of working in the construction industry is preferred
• A good understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 is required
• A relevant qualification (MSc, BEng, BSc, or equivalent) is preferred
• Ability to independently assess, diagnose, prepare, recommend and implement solutions
• Highly IT literate and competent, experienced user of general Microsoft Office software
• A full clean UK driving licence is required & capability to drive for several hours a day to sites, etc. is essential for this position since it will require travel to sites, not accessible by public transport
