Job Title: HGV Technician
Shift: Monday – Friday days / 40 hrs
Location: Hillsborough
Salary: £40,000
Benefits: All overtime paid at 1.5X Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, death in service, 3X annual salary and on call payment
HGV Technician opportunity
My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company who have been established for 140 years. Due to their continued success they are now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to work out of their Hillsborough site.
Duties of the HGV Technician
- Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of trucks and commercial vehicles
- Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
- Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
- Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
Experience/skills required for the HGV Technician
- Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
- NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance
- Class 1 driving licence is beneficial but not essential
- UK valid driving licence.
