Pay: £47,775 Basic

Shift: Nights 4 on 4 off

HGV Technician opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team at our Doncaster depot. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they meet high standards of safety, performance, and compliance. You will perform service work, preventative maintenance, and inspections while keeping accurate records of all tasks performed.

HGV Technician duties

- Service and repair fleet vehicles and components efficiently using the right tools and equipment.

- Carry out routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring compliance with operating licenses.

- Complete job cards and service sheets with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Use diagnostic tools to identify faults, perform road tests, and resolve issues.

- Follow parts ordering procedures, manage warranty claims, and ensure customer expectations are met through quality workmanship.

- Handle all vehicles, tools, and equipment with care, ensuring safety and cleanliness in the workspace.

HGV Technician qualifications/experience required

- Essential: City & Guilds or NVQ qualification, or proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, along with a valid driving license.

- Desirable: An LGV C+E license, good communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Flexibility to work shifts and an understanding of health and safety requirements are also beneficial.
