HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator who is CIPD Level 3 qualified and has excellent organisational, time management and communication skills with experience working in a HR transactional role within a fast-paced HR function is required to join our team at Swalcliffe Park School.

SALARY: £30,060 - £32,115 pro rata (NJC SCP 17-21) and includes NJC 2024-25 pay award + Benefits

LOCATION: Swalcliffe, Nr Banbury, Oxfordshire (OX15)

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 18.75 Hours per Week (2.5 days/week), 0.5 FTE Term Time (39 Weeks Term Time plus 2 weeks)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a CIPD Level 3 qualified HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator who has excellent organisational, time management and communication skills with experience working in a HR transactional role within a fast-paced HR function.

Working as the HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator you will also provide an administrative capacity and support to the HR & Compliance Manager and support the overall HR function.

As the HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator you will have experience working in a transactional processing HR function, preferably within a regulated sector of either Education, Health or Social Care.

DUTIES

Your duties as a HR Assistant / Human Resources Coordinator will include:

• Ensure the Safer Recruitment policy and procedure is followed

• Ensure the mandatory training matrices are maintained

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements

• Apply the policies, procedures and practice for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are implemented effectively within Support Services

• Assist with the production of organisational internal and statutory documents

• Support the HR & Compliance Manager with providing best practice and innovative HR transactional and management services for the school

• Support the HR & Compliance Manager in keeping the statutorily required Single Central Register, Access Education HR and manual files up to date and legally compliant

• Support the HR & Compliance Manager in processing Disclosure & Barring Service (and Overseas) Checks and Update Checks for staff

• Support the HR & Compliance Manager in ensuring all on boarding checks are completed satisfactorily for new starters

• Support the HR & Compliance Manager in maintaining the mandatory training matrices, helping identify training renewal needs for staff

• Collaborate the HR & Compliance Manager and Finance team in helping to make the best use of the Access HR Education system in terms of transactional processing, production of HR metrics and reports

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice (Essential)

• Experience of working in a HR transactional processing role within a fast paced HR function, preferably, in a regulated sector of either Education, Health or Social Care (Desirable)

• Worked as part of our staff team in a flexible and professional manner (Essential)

• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to colleagues, parents, students, governors and external agencies (Essential)

• Proficient IT, administrative and self-organisation skills

• Ability to use own initiative, have attention to detail and work at pace and confidentially

• A desire and potential to further develop their HR practice and undertake CIPD Level 5, which will be supported by the School
