Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join a primary school in Uckfield. In this role, you will provide crucial support to students with specific learning needs, disabilities, or other challenges, helping them thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with these students to offer tailored assistance and create a supportive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), providing one-on-one or small group support, and adapting teaching methods to meet each student's needs. You will help students engage with the curriculum, manage their behaviour, and develop skills to fully participate in classroom activities. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals, you will contribute to a comprehensive support system that ensures every student can reach their full potential and integrate successfully into the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with specific learning and developmental needs.

* Adapt learning materials to support individual learning styles and needs.

* Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.

* Foster independence and confidence in students by encouraging their participation in all areas of school life.
