Learning Support Assistant

Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

* Work closely with children who have autism, providing 1:1 or group support tailored to their individual needs.

* Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

* Help students develop essential communication, social, and life skills.

* Adapt learning materials and approaches to ensure all students can access the curriculum.

* Monitor and support emotional well-being, fostering a safe and positive environment for learning.

About You:

* Experience as a Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role, is beneficial but not essential.

* A passion for supporting children with autism and a strong commitment to helping them reach their full potential.

* Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each child.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* A proactive approach to learning and the ability to take on feedback and training opportunities.
