Are you a Band 6 or Band 7 Locum Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Leicester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!
- Job Title: Locum Pharmacist Band 6 / Band 7 - Location: Leicester - Duration: 6 months (strong potential for extension) - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch)
What You'll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Locum Pharmacist and play a key role in supporting patient care across hospital settings in Leicester. In this role, you will:
- Dispense and check medications in a hospital dispensary setting (Band 6 & 7) - Support clinical pharmacy services on medical and surgical wards (Band 7 only) - Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals - Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care - Maintain accurate pharmacy records and uphold clinical governance standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current and valid GPhC registration - Band 6: No prior hospital experience required - suitable for newly registered or community pharmacists transitioning to hospital work - Band 7: Previous hospital experience is essential, including clinical ward work - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team - A commitment to patient safety and quality care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers a flexible working pattern, requiring availability Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm , with potential for part-time work (3 or 4 days). The initial contract is for 6 months , with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
