Maintenance Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team in St Neots. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all Maintenance Team operations, guiding the crew to achieve business needs, and consistently managing Maintenance KPIs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in managing a Maintenance department.
Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain a vision and roadmap for the Maintenance department
* Generate, analyze, and control maintenance KPIs
* Identify and improve Maintenance factors generating "waste"
* Control maintenance spend and ensure work is done at a reasonable cost and time
* Investigate ways to move Corrective Maintenance events to Preventative Maintenance
* Support new projects and develop new suppliers
* Manage third-party contracts and contractor services
* Conduct regular performance reviews and 1-2-1s with Team Maintenance Leaders
* Monitor absenteeism and adjust working hours
* Foster a safety-first mentality within the maintenance team
* Manage 4 direct reports and 33 indirect reports
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Problem-solving mindset
* Strong leadership and motivational skills
* Experience as a Change Agent
* Previous experience managing or working in a Maintenance department within manufacturing
* Experience in managing a Maintenance Budget
Desired:
* Green Belt / Lean Six Sigma Qualification
* Experience dealing with Contractors
Day-to-day:
* Managing and coordinating Maintenance Team operations
* Guiding the crew to achieve business needs
* Consistently managing Maintenance KPIs
* Providing necessary resources for the crew to deliver Preventative and Corrective Maintenance
* Supporting Maintenance crew in various tasks and providing necessary training
* Coaching, reviewing, and assessing Team Maintenance Leaders performance
* Conducting regular performance reviews and 1-2-1s with Team Maintenance Leaders
* Monitoring absenteeism and adjusting working hours
* Managing 4 direct reports and 33 indirect reports
