MEP Building Physics Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Building Physics Engineer to join our client's dynamic team at their thriving Manchester office. Our client is looking for motivated, innovative professionals who are passionate about embracing new challenges and advancing sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform energy modelling and building simulations.

* Manage projects related to Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 & AD O compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 Operational Energy, and SAP assessments.

* Conduct early-stage design modelling, focusing on passive design strategies.

* Collaborate with the design team, statutory authorities, and contractors to ensure project success.

* Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.

* Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

* Proficiency in IES VE building simulation software (Model IT, ApacheSim, VistaPro, MacroFlo, VE Compliance).

* Extensive experience in building physics, with a particular focus on energy modelling and building simulation.

* In-depth knowledge of Part L compliance, EPCs, and CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis.

* Strong project management skills with the ability to take initiative.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with design teams and contractors.

* A passion for sustainability and reducing carbon emissions in the built environment.

* A solid understanding of Building Regulations, energy codes, and planning requirements across the UK.
