Are you a Band 6 Pharmacist looking for an exciting locum opportunity in an NHS hospital dispensary ? No prior hospital experience? No problem! Full training will be provided.
Job Title: Locum Pharmacist (Band 6)
Location: Southampton (NHS Hospital)
Duration: 3-6 months
Schedule: 3-5 days per week, 9 AM - 5 PM (30-min lunch)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £22ph-£25ph
What You'll Be Doing:
Join our pharmacy team and gain valuable hospital experience while working in the dispensary . Your responsibilities will include:
Dispensing and checking prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients
Providing medication advice to healthcare professionals and patients
Supporting stock management and ensuring safe medicine supply
Learning and applying NHS policies and procedures
Working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals in a supportive environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
GPhC registration as a pharmacist
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude to patient care and professional development
No prior hospital experience required - full training will be provided!
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers flexibility, requiring availability for 3-5 days per week, 9 AM-5 PM . The contract is 3-6 months with potential for extension.
