- Job Title: Locum Pharmacy Technician (Band 5/6) - Location: Leeds, NHS Hospital - Duration: 3-6 months - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9AM - 5:30PM (1-hour lunch) - will consider 3 or 4 days per week - Start Date: ASAP - Rate of Pay: £18ph-£25ph (depending on experience)
What You'll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Locum Pharmacy Technician and play a key role in supporting hospital dispensary services. In this role, you will:
✔ Work within the hospital dispensary, ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications ✔ Support pharmacists in reviewing prescriptions and providing medication advice ✔ Perform final accuracy checking (if ACT qualified) to ensure compliance with regulations ✔ Maintain accurate patient medication records and stock control ✔ Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of the dispensary
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
✔ A valid GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician ✔ Hospital pharmacy or dispensary experience ✔ Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) qualification (preferred but not essential) ✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment ✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This flexible locum position offers full-time hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM-5:30 PM), with part-time options (3-4 days per week) considered. The contract is for 3-6 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
