We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Hertford. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), fostering their development and helping them reach their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Weekly rate: £460 - £500
Key Responsibilities of a PMLD Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
* Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
* Support students with physical needs, including personal care, mobility, and feeding, while ensuring their dignity and safety.
* Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for all pupils.
* Work closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
* Use specialist equipment and resources to engage students in learning activities.
* Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Requirements of a PMLD Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with PMLD in an educational setting.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students with complex needs.
* Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication methods is highly desirable.
* Understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding policies.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN diploma, or equivalent).
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
