As a Primary SEN Support Assistant, you will work closely with a child, offering tailored support to help them access the curriculum and engage in school life. Your role will involve assisting the child both academically and socially, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and independence.
Key Responsibilities: Primary SEN Support Assistant - Croydon
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, adapting your approach to meet their specific needs.
* Assist the child with classroom activities, ensuring they can fully participate in lessons.
* Implement strategies from the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP), working with the class teacher and SENCO.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the child's well-being and personal development.
* Support the child's social interaction with peers, encouraging positive relationships and play.
What We're Looking For: Primary SEN Support Assistant - Croydon
* Passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN.
* Patience, empathy, and flexibility in supporting children's individual learning and emotional needs.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
* Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not essential-training and support will be provided.
