Prison RMN - Band 6 - HMP Sutton, York
Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are supporting a prison service in HMP Sutton, York, with their search for a Band 6 Prison RMN. This is a locum contract, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work within a secure environment, providing essential mental health care to inmates.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Delivering high-quality mental health care within a prison setting.
* Managing and administering medications in accordance with prescriptions.
* Working within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement care plans.
* Providing crisis intervention and risk assessment.
* Supporting prisoners with a range of mental health conditions, ensuring person-centered, strengths-based care delivery.
* Ensuring adherence to prison healthcare regulations and security procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
* Minimum Band 6 experience.
* Previous experience in a prison environment is essential.
* CAT A clearance is required.
* Ability to work effectively in a challenging and secure setting.
* Strong assessment and risk management skills.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:
* Start Date: ASAP - 4 weeks
* Contract Duration: 3-6 months ongoing
* Working Pattern: 4 days across 7 days, 37 hours per week
* Shift Times: 08:00 AM - 19:00 PM
* Rate: £30 - £31.50 per hour
