Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Oldham, OL9 9RJ
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent upon experience
The Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger clerk for a full-time office-based role, working as part of a busy finance team.
On the job training will be provided.
You will possess excellent purchase ledger knowledge be able to hit the ground running, with the ability of processing high volumes of work, and able to work well under pressure and deal with complex invoice processing and queries.
You will have excellent communication skills in order to work efficiently within the team and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities
* Making BACS and Trade Loan payments on a daily basis, across multi currencies
* Matching, batching and posting GRNs and associated supporting documentation
* Intercompany reconciliations and adjustments
* Collaborating with internal teams to resolve any issues
* Supporting with financial audits
* Ad hoc reporting and support as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* Strong working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role or within an accounting dept
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work alone and also as part of the wider team
* Proficient in accounting software
Desirable:
* Working in foreign currency (Purchase Ledger & Payments)
* Experience of Business Central
