Job title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: North Somerset

Salary: £16,380

Hour: 25 hours per week (flexible over 5 days)

Example 9.30am - 14:00pm Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 12:00pm Friday

I am currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a friendly and supportive team in North Somerset. Office based and part-time.

In this role you will report to the Finance Manager and will have relationships with all other departments when required.

Main Duties:

- Keep Purchase Ledger accounts accurate and up to date.

- Ensure invoices align with corresponding purchase orders.

- Verify that VAT on all purchase invoices is correct.

- Organise and file purchase ledger invoices appropriately.

- Ensure accurate record-keeping of supplier information for future transactions.

- Address internal and external purchase ledger and invoice queries within 2 weeks of receipt.

- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

- Perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks daily.

- Check, input, and pay expense claims as needed.

- Ensure adherence to company quality and legal requirements.

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and uphold integrity.

- Assist with any other financial duties as required.

Skills required:

- AAT Level 1 required, AAT Level 2 desirable.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
