Qualified Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be recruiting a Qualified Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a unique quality home-from-home Nursery which is based near Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. The successful candidate must ensure to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children at the nursery and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Requirements

* Cache/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Early years or equivalent

* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

* Perceptive, patient and responsive nature

* Good communication skills both written and verbal

* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

* To provide a safe, secure and warm environment, treating each child with equal concern

* To work alongside the Head of Nursery and team to ensure that the setting's philosophy is fulfilled

* To effectively deliver the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met

* To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs

* To advise Designated Safeguarding Leads of any concerns, e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary

* To keep records of your key children's development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life

* To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job

* To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children, having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories

* To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snacks / meals, cleansing of equipment, etc. to ensure children's need are met

* To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times

* To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting

* Undertake self-development activities to ensure continuous professional development and to keep abreast of industry changes
