Quality Technician

Our client is a market leader in electronic components used across data communications, telecommunications, industrial, and consumer markets. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a Quality Technician to join the manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality compliance, supporting quality assurance initiatives, and maintaining high standards across their facility.

Location: Northampton, UK

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum

Working Hours: 6:00am to 2:00pm / 2:00pm to 10:00pm (Weekly Rotating)

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure product quality control and compliance with specification requirements

* Support the Quality Engineer in quality control activities across production

* Conduct routine process audits, ESD audits, and implement corrective/preventive actions

* Perform spot check audits and participate in regular shop floor walks

* Drive and support quality improvement initiatives across the manufacturing line

* Participate in internal audits and support customer visits and external audits

* Perform Goods In and Goods Out inspections on components and finished goods

* Support site calibration and change control activities, including monitoring effectiveness

* Assist in the development and updating of QA operational instructions

Requirements:

* BTEC ONC/OND in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or similar is beneficial

* Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

* Working knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

* Experience with internal audits, quality assurance techniques, and calibration processes (preferred)

* A full UK driving licence and own transport is required for this role.
