Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong commitment to nurturing students' understanding of various religious traditions, ethical considerations, and cultural values. You will have the opportunity to develop a curriculum that not only engages but also challenges students, encouraging them to think critically and empathetically about the world around them.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and inclusive Religious Education lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4 fostering a deeper understanding of diverse beliefs and ethical values.

* Develop lesson plans that cater to a wide range of abilities, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to inspire and engage students.

* Promote and support the school's ethos by encouraging respect and understanding among students.

* Participate in departmental planning and contribute to curriculum development.

* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring every student has the opportunity to reach their potential.

* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support students' academic and personal growth.

About You

* Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.

* Experience: Previous experience as a Religious Education Teacher at the secondary level is preferred.

* Skills:

* Strong knowledge of diverse religious, ethical, and philosophical topics.

* Ability to engage and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities.

* Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
