Secondary Teaching Assistant - Brislington, Bristol

If so, this Secondary Teaching Assistant opportunity in a 'good' OFSTED rated secondary school in Bristol could be the perfect way to gain classroom experience, develop your confidence, and see if teaching is the right path for you!
* Start ASAP, ongoing to August 2025
* £120 - £140 per day, depending on experience
* Monday - Friday 8.30am to 3.45pm
* Term time only
* Mainstream secondary school
* Bristol - BS4
* A teaching qualification is not required for this role!
About the role
* Supervise classes/groups of pupils during break periods
* Ensure pupils remain on task with cover work set by absent teacher, to ensure continuity of learning.
* Managing a classroom, ensuring high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policy
* Support school events
* Opportunities for training and development internally and externally
A Secondary Teaching Assistant will
* Have extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc
* Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
* Be confident with ICT skills, particularly Microsoft packages
