Semi Senior Accountant
Location : Spalding, Lincolnshire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Our client is a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. They offer accounts preparation, auditing, taxation, bookkeeping, payroll, business advisory and support services to a wide range of businesses and individuals.
The Role

When you join our client's practice, you'll be joining a friendly team who help clients across a broad range of business sectors. You will join them on their journey of moving to a Results Orientated Working Environment (ROWE). Your focus will be on measuring outcomes, not the minutes recorded on a timesheet.
Your career progression will be at the heart of their relationship, as well as having the support of the team, you will be mentored by the practice owner/manager with regular one-to-ones and guidance on what you need to do to reach the next level.
You will not be micromanaged and will have the autonomy to make decisions independently as they work together towards clear business goals. Client interaction is actively encouraged to enable you to utilise the formal CPD that you will receive, to become an integral part of a trusted team of advisors.
They have quarterly team meetings with the opportunity to give feedback and shape the future direction of the practice.
You will be using the latest cloud-based technology like Xero, Dext and auto entry; along with a service-orientated approach to client care. You will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on clients' businesses and their lives.
You will be based in the heart of the market town of Spalding, so you are spoiled for choice at lunch time. There are walks along the river Welland, the high street and the twice weekly market are a five-minute walk away, or Springfields retail outlet is a short drive away.
Skills and Qualifications
* AAT level 4 (required)
* ACCA/ICAEW (required)
* At least three years of experience working in an accounting practice
* Experience preparing accounts using a balance sheet approach
* It would help if you have experience using Xero and Digita, but if you don't they'll make sure you get trained on it as soon as you start
