Position: SEN Support Worker

Location: Newham, London

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our dynamic team at a SEN specialist school in Newham. You will have the rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), either at primary or secondary level.

As a SEN Support Worker, your role will involve supporting students with their learning, both in and out of the classroom. You may also be required to assist with toileting and personal care for children with more complex needs. Our school in Newham prides itself on providing an inclusive and supportive environment, where every child can thrive with the right guidance and care.

Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one and group support to students with a range of SEN

* Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities

* Encourage student engagement, promoting confidence and independence

* Support children with toileting and personal care, where necessary

* Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a SEN Support Worker is preferred but not essential

* Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help children with special needs

* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the unique challenges of each student

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

* A willingness to assist with personal care tasks when required
