SEN Support Worker - Specialist SEN School (Tower Hamlets)

Position: SEN Support Worker
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students with additional complex needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). You will provide tailored assistance to help pupils access learning and reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting pupils with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and ADD
* Providing one-on-one or group assistance in line with each child's individual education plan (IEP)
* Assisting with personal care and toileting when necessary
* Promoting positive behavior and engagement in the classroom
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to deliver a consistent approach to student development
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience as an SEN Support Worker in an SEN setting
* Knowledge of working with children with additional complex needs, such as ASD, ADHD, and ADD
* Comfortable with providing personal care, including toileting assistance
* A patient, empathetic, and caring attitude
* Excellent communication skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
