SEN Teaching Assistant Vacancy - Temp to Perm
Work Pattern: Full Time - Term Time Only
Location: Sheffield Area
Salary: Grade 3 (Points 5-7) £20,208 - £21,362 (Actual Salary)
Start Date: 1st December 2024
Contract: 32.5 hours per week

Academics Agency have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at an all-age Special School for children aged 4 to 18. The students face a range of challenges including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, and we are committed to helping them thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide essential support to pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring they feel safe and supported in their learning.
* Assist with practical needs, such as personal care programmes and physical assistance.
* Support the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans.
* Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and participation in activities.
* Promote inclusion, self-esteem, and independence.
* Work alongside teachers to create an engaging, supportive learning environment.

Requirements:
* Experience supporting students with SEN.
* Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
* Available references upon request.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
