A supportive and welcoming school in Newport is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will make a vital difference in the progress and academic development of pupils with ALN whilst supporting them in their social and emotional development.
Key responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to children struggling with ALN and help students understand instructions.
* Assist in implementing individual learning and support plans
* Work alongside the classroom teacher and SEN team to create a positive working environment
* Prepare, provide and deliver suitable learning materials.

Requirements:
* Experience in a SEN setting (essential)
* Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS (We can assist with the process)
* Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) - we are here to help with the process.
* Two professional and recent references.
