Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Glasgow

S0 34

Salary: Up to £45,000

I am seeking a talented and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer who is passionate about sustainable design and making a positive impact on the built environment. My client is a busy, successful Multidisciplinary Civil Engineering consultancy based in Glasgow and they're looking for someone to contribute their expertise to a range of sectors, including residential, education, commercial, development, and regeneration.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineering position include:

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, guiding engineers at various levels of experience.

* Project Oversight: Manage multiple projects to ensure quality and timeliness, while coordinating resources in line with Civic Engineers' QMS and IMS standards.

* Professional Development: Support the development of junior team members by identifying training needs, equipment requirements, and software licenses.

* Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and timelines, addressing any potential changes with Project Associates or Directors to maintain profitability.

* Client Engagement: Strengthen client relationships, support repeat business, and contribute to new project bids to enhance Civic Engineers' reputation.

Skills and Qualifications for this Senior Civil Engineer:

* A relevant first-class degree. E.g., MEng in Civil/ Structural Engineering

* Experience with software such as Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.

* Proficiency in industry standards and processes, including planning applications, procurement, and technical approvals.

* Strong verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.

* Excellent report-writing and analytical skills, with high proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).

* Commercial awareness, teamwork, and time management skills.

* Ideally Chartered or Incorporated with an institution such as ICE, IStructE, CIWEM, or CIHT.
