Position: Senior Ecologist
Location: Penarth, near Cardiff
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 per annum, DOE

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across Wales, England, and Northern Ireland, from commercial and residential developments to infrastructure projects, ensuring sustainable and ecologically sound outcomes.
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
* Extensive experience in UK ecological consultancy.
* Advanced expertise in protected species surveys, especially for bats and reptiles.
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and its application in planning and development.
* Exceptional skills in report writing, project management, and client engagement.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Your Role as Senior Ecologist:
As a Senior Ecologist, you'll lead the delivery of high-quality ecological services, balancing fieldwork across South Wales with office-based project management. Your key responsibilities include:
* Leading ecological surveys and delivering assessments.
* Preparing detailed reports, including mitigation and habitat enhancement plans.
* Designing practical strategies to balance development with biodiversity.
* Managing projects, budgets, and maintaining strong client relationships.
